HomeWho this describes
This page describes the Moonshot app in this repository. It is not a claim about any other product.
Questions about this page can go through the feedback form. Choose the Privacy topic. The form does not ask for an email address, and the site does not publish one.
Operated by Cartooli Business Ventures Inc.
On this device
Solo and pass-and-play do not need an account. This browser stores:
- The current local game, so you can resume it.
- Display settings (text size, sound, motion, real stories).
- A room seat token, if you have joined an online room on this device.
- An on-device archive of finished local games used by the private insights page. That archive is not uploaded by the game. The insights page says it is data from this device only and is marked noindex.
Clearing this site's storage in the browser removes those items.
Online rooms
Online rooms work only when the server has a database configured. If it does not, the site says rooms are unavailable and solo and pass-and-play still run.
When rooms are available, the server stores:
- A room code and the game events needed to rebuild the board.
- A nickname chosen from the fixed word lists. There is no free-text name or chat.
- A hash of each seat token. The token itself stays in this browser and is sent only to authorize that seat.
There are no player accounts. If realtime updates are configured, the server can issue a subscribe-only token so browsers know to refresh. Those messages do not carry private game data.
Feedback notes
When a database is configured, a saved note stores the topic, the message, the time, and a hash of the network address. The hash is used to limit how often the form can be sent from that address. A hidden field is left empty by people using the form; if it is filled in, the note is not saved. When no database is configured, the form says the note cannot be saved.
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics is on. It is cookieless and aggregate. There is no consent banner.
It counts visits without setting a cookie. It is separate from the on-device insights archive, which stays in this browser.
What this game is not
Money in the game is pretend. Nothing on the site is financial advice. There are no live workshops and no sale of a mailing list from this app.
